As some may know, I started a new job yesterday. Although I only have two days of work at the new place under my belt, I am supremely happy to be working in an environment free of psychos. I’ve had the opportunity to do work that I love, but that usually entailed some pretty nasty side-effects (read: psychotic boss). I am confident that I can say without a doubt that even the most mundane job can be amazing if you are given the right environment. I’m really excited to have been given the opportunity to work in my field, but I’m also happy that the environment seems to agree with me. I’m constantly busy, there’s always something on which to be working, there’s no one looking over my shoulder all day telling me what I’m doing wrong (and then changing it back to how I first had it), and my co-workers play to my strengths. I’m so happy to have found a job that lets me use my gifts! Not that any work environment is perfect, mind you, but crazy people are just that-crazy. No thank you, I’ll take my peaceful desk and a mountain of projects to get started on.
